The site is located in the centre of Dún Laoghaire to the rear of a 3 storey over basement grand Victorian terrace which dates from the end of the 19th Century and boasts an impressive street frontage measuring almost 25 m long.  However, the rear of the site is a residual space, dilapidated, forgotten and long since annexed from the original historic Victorian terrace.  

 

A new residential apartment building is proposed with 2 primary objectives:

 

1. to re-imagine this left over space to provide high quality and generously sized residential apartments in the heart of Dún Laoghaire and

2. to ensure that the new structure is of suitable scale, massing and materials to respect and compliment the original historic structure.
